4 MobiLoud alternatives for Shopify: pricing and fit

NAPPS, Shopney, Tapcart, and Venn Apps are MobiLoud alternatives for Shopify brands with different priorities. NAPPS starts at $299/month with native shopping screens, unlimited built-in push, and Klaviyo on every plan. MobiLoud starts at $799/month; Klaviyo push requires its highest plan, Enterprise, at a custom price.
We are NAPPS, a native mobile app builder for Shopify and Shopify Plus, and one of the providers below. We give our own platform the most detail. The shortlist covers different reasons to leave MobiLoud: subscription cost, messaging requirements, app experimentation, and managed native development. Fit recommendations are our assessment.
We checked public pricing and product documentation on October 26, 2026. Our September and October 2026 research also analyzed the technologies and SDKs used in selected apps built with MobiLoud, Shopney, Tapcart, and Venn Apps, through app-package analysis and on-device inspection. Those findings apply to the sampled versions and screens.
We did not run the same store through every platform or rank support, speed, or conversion. This is a selected shortlist for Shopify brands. Our broader app-builder comparison covers the general provider decision.
Compare the subscription and the plan your integrations need
A lower entry price helps only if that plan covers your required stack. Compare Klaviyo access and custom-work scope alongside the subscription.
| Alternative | Published monthly entry | Reason to consider it | Klaviyo requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| NAPPS | Business $299 | Native shopping screens and separate app merchandising | Included on every plan |
| Shopney | Silver $149 | Lower initial subscription with an app editor | Platinum $599 |
| Tapcart | Growth $500 | App-platform experimentation on Scale | Enterprise+, from $2,850 |
| Venn Apps | Pro from $1,999 | Managed native design and build | Confirm in the quote |
Prices are monthly, checked October 26, 2026. Entry plans do not include the same services.
What you are replacing on MobiLoud
MobiLoud's pricing page lists Growth at $799/month and Business at $1,499/month. Enterprise is quoted by usage and scope. Klaviyo push is available only on Enterprise, so neither fixed-price plan is the relevant quote for a team that needs it.
Standard push uses your own OneSignal account. MobiLoud's FAQ says OneSignal bills above 1,000 app monthly active users, separately from the app subscription. OneSignal supports unlimited mobile push sends; the additional bill depends on audience size and plan eligibility. The distinction is included versus separately billed push, not a notification cap.
MobiLoud also has its own app-usage charges. Growth includes 5,000 active devices, then $100 per additional 1,000. Business includes 10,000, then $50 per additional 1,000. It counts devices over 30 days and reviews usage quarterly against the preceding three months. Enterprise uses quoted usage tiers.
1. NAPPS for native shopping screens and Klaviyo on every plan
Choose NAPPS when you want control over the app's shopping interactions and merchandising, with Klaviyo included from the entry subscription. It is our assessment of fit for brands willing to map their website requirements into a native implementation.
What the price includes
Business costs $299/month and includes unlimited built-in push notifications, app analytics, Klaviyo, and Expresso for custom native components. Scale is $499/month; Enterprise is $999/month. Klaviyo is available across all three, including push, profile identification, event tracking, and deep links. Your Klaviyo subscription remains a separate cost.
You can configure app homes, product pages, collections, and menus separately from the website. Shopify products, inventory, and pricing stay synchronized. App merchandising still needs an owner on your team; a separate app experience creates work to manage even when the catalog syncs.
If your immediate goal is Klaviyo push, the comparison is NAPPS Business against a MobiLoud Enterprise quote. Comparing $299 with MobiLoud Growth's $799 misses the integration requirement. Ask both providers to demonstrate the events, segments, and message destinations your campaigns need.
What changes in the shopping experience
NAPPS renders its shopping UI with SwiftUI on iOS and Jetpack Compose on Android. Expresso lets you build custom components in React and TypeScript that render through those native frameworks. It is included on every plan at no extra cost.
Free tool access does not include the build. Development work still needs a scope. A custom configurator or marketplace product page needs its data, business rules, and interactions mapped before anyone can promise the finished build.
MobiLoud's architecture explanation describes building around your existing website, with native navigation and device functionality. A WebView displays web content inside the app. That preserves website work; NAPPS rebuilds the agreed shopping interactions as native components.
What a complex native rebuild can look like
Planeta Huerto retained its Mirakl marketplace logic and Shopify metafield data while rebuilding its product-page interactions with NAPPS. The work included vendor and shipping information, quantity discounts, and product-selection logic. The components article shows the implementation.
In the first 90 days, its app channel had +9% average order value and +47% amount spent per customer versus the online storefront. The app repeat purchase rate was 72.09%. Based on NAPPS customer data, app channel vs online storefront.
Those are observed channel differences, not a controlled architecture test or a comparison with MobiLoud. The useful implementation evidence is that custom marketplace requirements could be rebuilt without dropping the underlying data and logic.
When another option fits better
Keeping MobiLoud can make sense when you are satisfied with your current website-based app and its service. Before switching, confirm which theme layouts, custom flows, and integrations the proposed NAPPS build will cover.
Build and test NAPPS for free until you publish. If you are switching under an existing competitor contract, our offer matches the remaining contract duration with free months. Confirm the implementation scope and how the offer applies to your agreement.
2. Shopney for a lower initial subscription
Shopney is worth considering when reducing the fixed app subscription is the priority and its editor covers the shopping experience you need. Its Silver plan starts at $149/month, with unlimited push notifications included across its plans.
The integration tier changes the comparison. Abandoned-cart push starts on Gold at $299/month. Klaviyo, loyalty, and subscription integrations are listed on Platinum at $599/month. If your MobiLoud Enterprise quote is driven by Klaviyo, compare the Platinum scope, not Silver's entry price.
The architecture also differs from MobiLoud's. In October 2026 we analyzed the iOS and Android packages of one current Shopney-built app. On both platforms, its home, collection, product, and cart screens are native views from a Shopney theme template, not the store's website. It uses Shopify's Storefront API and Shopify's checkout. Yotpo reviews, Smile, Growave, and LoyaltyLion loyalty, and Tolstoy video load as web content inside the app.
That makes the published editor and themes relevant for routine merchandising. Confirm any bespoke product-page behavior before choosing it; we did not find a published developer-component workflow. Ask which of your integrations render natively.
Ask for a demonstration of your loyalty redemption or subscription-management flow, with the required plan and implementation work written down.
3. Tapcart for experimentation inside the app platform
Tapcart deserves a place on the shortlist when app experiments and targeting are the reason to change your operating model. Its pricing page puts A/B testing, user segmentation, and heatmaps on Scale at $1,250/month. Growth starts at $500/month and includes unlimited push notifications.
This is a reason to evaluate Tapcart even though Scale costs more than MobiLoud's entry plan. Compare the experiment your team wants to run and where it will manage it.
Klaviyo requires a separate check. Tapcart's integration page labels it Enterprise Only, while Enterprise+ starts at $2,850/month on its pricing page. Tapcart therefore does not offer the same Klaviyo entry cost as NAPPS or Shopney Platinum.
Its developer tools also sit on Enterprise+. Ask which changes your team can make in the editor and which require developer work. Use its documented experimentation tools as the reason to shortlist it, then price your actual stack.
4. Venn Apps for a managed native build
Venn Apps is worth considering when you want a provider to design and build a native app, with a team assigned to the work. Its build page names Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android. That is a vendor architecture disclosure, not a comparative performance result.
Pro starts at $1,999/month and lists a dedicated design process, a managed build, unlimited push, and a merchant CMS. Enterprise is quoted separately. This is a higher-cost route to evaluate for the implementation service, not an entry-price saving over MobiLoud.
Confirm which integrations, custom modules, and ongoing changes your quote includes. We have not established the required Venn plan for Klaviyo, so obtain that entitlement explicitly. A directory listing or an unlimited-integration claim does not settle it.
Compare one written scope against MobiLoud's service proposal: what gets rebuilt, what your team can edit afterward, and who handles the next custom change.
When staying with MobiLoud makes sense
MobiLoud can remain the better fit when preserving a customized website is the main requirement. It includes native maintenance on every plan, and its service scope goes beyond publishing a fixed copy of the site.
Its work-scope FAQ distinguishes the plans:
- Growth includes small app-side design adjustments and guidance for your web team.
- Business and Enterprise include redesign of existing pages for app use, with ongoing UI and UX improvements and agreed priorities.
- Enterprise adds support for building new pages and sections on the website where feasible, or collaborating with your team. Larger projects, new native features, and SDK integrations are quoted separately.
On Growth and Business, your web team creates new website pages. Include that work when comparing a managed website-based app with a native rebuild. Leaving makes sense when another provider solves a requirement worth paying and rebuilding for. Test that requirement before replacing the existing service.
Price the handover before committing to a replacement
A subscription comparison becomes useful when it includes the rebuild and transition. Ask each shortlisted provider to demonstrate your hardest shopping flow and attach the required plan to its quote. Our platform-evaluation guide turns those requirements into acceptance tests.
Budget the subscription, integration and push bills, custom work, operating hours, and any overlap with the existing provider. Store accounts are separate too: Apple charges $99 per membership year and Google Play charges $25 to register.
Before scheduling the switch, confirm:
- Who controls the developer accounts, app identity, and signing access
- Which screens, integrations, and website-only logic must be rebuilt
- How existing logins, deep links, and push subscriptions will be tested
- Where loyalty balances, subscription contracts, and analytics history live
- What rollout, rollback, and cancellation conditions end the transition
Keeping the existing listing depends on valid account access, app identity, and signing arrangements. Apple and Google document additional requirements when an account transfer is needed. It does not guarantee that every session or integration carries over.
Our NAPPS and Tapcart comparison walks through what carries over and what gets rebuilt in a platform switch. Agree a timeline after the assessment, and keep the old services available until the critical flows and version-adoption criteria pass.
Frequently asked questions
Shopney has the lowest published entry subscription at $149/month. NAPPS starts at $299/month with Klaviyo included. Compare the required plan and implementation scope; the lowest entry price is not necessarily the lowest bill for your stack.
No. Its published pricing puts Klaviyo push on custom-priced Enterprise. NAPPS includes it on every plan. Shopney lists Klaviyo on Platinum, and Tapcart labels it Enterprise Only. Confirm Venn's entitlement in the quote.
Its standard push uses your own OneSignal account, with separate billing above 1,000 monthly active users according to MobiLoud's FAQ. OneSignal supports unlimited mobile sends. The distinction is the separate audience-based charge, not a send cap.
Your website can retain the theme. A different app builder does not automatically reproduce its custom interactions. Ask which behaviors will use existing data, which need native components, and which remain web content.
An update to the existing app can preserve the store record when account access, app identity, and signing requirements are met. Confirm those conditions and any required account-transfer work before committing to the release.
Compare the flow that would justify leaving MobiLoud
Choose the requirement that would make a switch worthwhile, then ask the relevant providers to demonstrate it on your catalog. Include the plan, implementation owner, and extra services in the comparison.
